Meyers Lemon

The less acidic, sweeter, comparatively slightly bigger in size than the normal lemon and yellowish in color, think what is it? It is not just anything…it is the Meyers Lemon.! This was brought from the China around the 1900s. Now a day, this tree is much popular to some areas of US, where the Meyers lemon spread over that province well.  When the Meyers lemon certainly got out of market, in the late fifties, the Meyer lemon lovers mourned and shocked very much. Just because of the viral attack, a vast field of Meyer Lemon was destroyed. But, again in the early sixties, it would become recover and grown at its own field. The popularity of the Meyer Lemon pulls it for harvesting again. At present days, all the fruit market is always full of the Meyer Lemon. 
    The sweeter in taste and little tangy flavor makes it deferent from the other lemons. It has a perfect match with the olive oil. It's tangy and tartness in taste with the other fruit that is olive. The Meyer Lemon extract also you can use in the cooking of fish and chicken. The juice is little lemony and sweeter, which changes the quality of the recipe.
    A Meyers Lemon tree is about of 6 to 10 feet in height, bushy in shape. The leaves are of dark green in color, flowers pale whitish color. The fruit is yellow in color when it is in young and at the ripe condition it turns to orange and sweeter in taste. The Meyers Melon grows mainly in the tropical climate, and fruits come after four years of seedling. It may grow in both outdoor and indoor conditions.
    When the Meyer Lemon is normally exported, it is well packed first with very care, because of its soft and thin skin. That's why it becomes a little expensive at the other places which are far from the growing field. A ripe Meyer lemon looks like a Tennis ball when on the tree. That looking also attracts the poets and writers to write a phrase or poem on the golden Meyers lemon.   
    However, if you are much interested to grow a Meyers Lemon behind your garden for easy collecting fruit whenever you wish, then seedling it in a big tub, take care of it. If you want to get the best quality Meyer Lemon, you have to harvest well, prepare the soil with fertilizer. Check the ph and alkali of the soil that the tree gets the nutrition from it. Place it under the sunlight and in open place for air incoming. The soil should have the perfect drainage system for the better result. If all the said conditions are being followed, the Meyer Lemon obviously will come with the season time to time in your own planned tree.
